God Never Fails
“I am broken and helpless, and want to give up on life.”
If this is you then I want you to know this: I hear you and I get it. I’ve been there and I’ve been close to doubting the very purpose of my life. If you are alive right now then hear me out, God never fails, so I want you to keep hope alive and wait for Him.
Some years back I was waiting to have a baby. Not that I was pregnant, but I was only hoping. I will tell you what I did to keep my hope alive. I bought a set (three in the pack) of onesies and placed them in our bedroom where I could see it every day to remind me each day that my babies will arrive and will wear these onesies. This was after a dear Christian sister shared with me about her and her husband's journey to having children. She then encouraged me to purchase something that will encourage me to have faith and to hope in God. Now, it would take more than a year for me to have a baby (I wrote about this in a previous post titled - In the Waiting Room of Life) but seeing those onesies kept my hope alive and made me confident that God’s promises are yeah and Amen. Are you believing God for a job? Then get your attire for your first day of work-ready. Are you believing God for a godly spouse, have a picture frame ready for you and your spouse photo and place on your nightstand to remind you this will happen.

Before I begin, let's read the scripture from Lamentations 3.
Lam 3:18-26 KJV And I said, My strength and my hope is perished from the LORD: (19) Remembering mine affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall. (20) My soul hath them still in remembrance, and is humbled in me. (21) This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. (22) It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. (23) They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. (24) The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. (25) The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. (26) It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.According to some theological writers, the book of Lamentation depicts the lament of the Prophet Jeremiah after the desolation of Jerusalem. In the above scriptures, we sense the immense despair that he feels about the situation facing the people of Israel. What is astonishing, however, is that despite how bad things are, the Prophet acknowledges that it is because of the Lord's mercies that the situation has not consumed them (vs. 22). The Prophet goes on to add that God's compassions do not fail and His compassions are renewed each day (vs. 22-23). It is the reason I said at the beginning that if you are alive then I want you to have hope and wait for God.

As I write this, I’m reminded of the famous Footprints in the Sand poem which
depicts a dream a man had. At some points in his journey, it shows only
two footprints and at times four footprints and when he asked Jesus, his
response is heartwarming:
The Lord replied, "My child, I will never leave you. During your times of trial, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you." Unknown Author.
You’re probably asking how do I know God is carrying me since I
feel so alone. The following scriptures show that God indeed carries us in the midst of our trials:
Exodus 19:4 KJV Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself.
Deu 1:31 KJV And in the wilderness, where thou hast seen how that the LORD thy God bare thee, as a man doth bear his son, in all the way that ye went, until ye came into this place.
Deut 32:10-11 KJV He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye. (11) As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:
Psalm 91:11-12 KJV For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. (12) They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
Isaiah 40:11 KJV He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.
Isaiah 46:3-4 KJV Hearken unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, which are borne by me from the belly, which are carried from the womb: (4) And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.
Isaiah 63:9 KJV In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.If you are reading this then I believe, the Holy Spirit directed you here and I want you to put your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and wait patiently for God, for in due time, He will surely give you a testimony.
God bless you!
